On the final leg of his ambitious 2,535-mile Cycle-to-Break-the-Cycle charity bike ride, Alexander sets out this week from Newport, Rhode Island. Riding his recumbent bike, Alexander will continue his quest, pedaling up the entire east coast - to his final destination: Bar Harbor set on the rocky and rugged coastline of Down East Maine. Awed by its beauty and diversity,  land near Bar Harbor became Acadia National Park; the first National Park to be established east of the Mississippi. In addition to majestic sites, Acadia sports  the highest mountain on the Atlantic coast.
